How it factors into your estimate
- Gallons are figured from wall and ceiling area at a stated spread rate per coat.
- Coat count changes material and hours — two finish coats is the default assumption.
- Epoxy and high-performance coatings require manufacturer-specified prep and cure times.
Labor intensity used by the estimator: 0.03 hours per square foot, adjusted for residential, commercial or industrial work. You can replace the hourly rate and every material price with your own numbers on the Trade Costs page.
