How it factors into your estimate
- Lumber, sheathing and fastener quantities scale with area and wall linear feet, then carry your waste factor.
- Finish carpentry hours are higher per square foot than rough framing, so the labor line reflects both.
- Custom millwork is an allowance until shop drawings and a fabricator quote exist.
